Why Should You Get A Small Laptop?
The new trend of today is to bring laptops anywhere you go and lately, the internet notebooks (Netbooks) or the small laptops are booming in this industry. Why you may ask? Here are a few good reasons why:
1. Size
Netbooks are small in size. They usually have a screen of about 10 to11 inches. With the size, it is very handy. They are very convenient for travelers and professional who are always on-the-go but still needed to be online. Also, being small in size, it is lightweight. In this regard, it is always a hand-carry when traveling long haul. No hassle in being overweight in the luggage.
2. Price
Netbooks are very affordable compared to the usual normal-sized laptops. Because of its affordability, the netbooks selling like pancakes anywhere you look. And because of the global financial crisis we are experiencing, a netbook is always a best buy for those who need a handy computer.
3. Specifications
It doesn? mean that a small computer will lack parts of a full blown personal desktop computer. The truth is that there are a lot of netbooks that came complete with Wi-Fi and USB slots. Also, it is very powerful and can handle the functions of a regular-sized laptop, all thanks to the Intel Atom and its 2.0 Ghz power. Now netbooks are able to run your normal operating systems without having problems.
4. Mini Laptops vs. PDAs
Like the PDA, the mini laptops are very handy and can perform all your office needs without hassle. However, an advantage of the mini laptop over the PDA is that it would be much easier to do your stuffs because of the full-sized keyboard. Another plus of the small laptop is that it has more storage than the PDA.
5. Eco-Friendly
These mini computers are eco-friendly because they use less electricity in charging because they have smaller battery packs than conventional laptops. Plus the small battery packs can run a netbook for up to eight hours without eve rcharging. Imagine how much energy you can save.
6. Silent
Quieter than the conventional laptop, these mini laptops have the technology that the Atom is proud off, less power to cool off the microchip. Unlike the previous one, the mini laptops are much easier to cool thus requiring less energy and noise for the fam of the microchip.
7. Battery Packs
The batteries for the netbooks are now powerful enough to last for eight hours. This is much more powerful than the conventional laptops which can last only about two to three hours.
8. Web-Based Application
Internet websites are now using web-based applications. Because of this new technology developed, laptops require less memory to save programs and the processor can now divert to more important functions.
9. Trendy
The netbooks are targeting the regular-sized laptop market. Since there are also a lot of people who are tired of just the plain black look of the laptop, they have released models that are trendier. Manufacturers have released laptops in different colors and have added designs to the body.
With the release of the netbooks, we are now more accessible to others. We have just made the world a lot smaller.
